Trial Work Capabilities
The world-renowned Barossa Valley wine region is a short drive from our Adelaide facility. In cooperation with the Australian Wine Research Institute, also located in Adelaide, Eurofins Agroscience Services offers a broad range of wine grape efficacy, residue and fermentation study capabilities.
In addition to wine grapes, olives, citrus, stone fruits, almonds, pome fruits and many types of vegetables form the mainstay of horticultural production in the Adelaide region.
Broad acre cropping in the region focuses on spring wheat and barley, canola, and pulse production. Our staff are very experienced in the development of agrochemical products targeting the control of globally-common winter cropping weeds and diseases.
Climate
The Adelaide region is characterised by a Mediterranean climate, with mild, wet winters and hot, dry summers. In many respects, agricultural production in the region is similar to that of southern Europe.
