In order to improve our services and to maintain the best possible customer focus, we have re-organised our legal structure in Germany and split Eurofins Agroscience Services GmbH into two legal entities:

The company has received its own GLP accreditation as a Testing Facility. This entity will be managed by Dr. Marcus Balluff and Nikolaus Kügler.
  • Eurofins Agroscience Services EcoChem GmbH, Eutinger Str. 24, 75223 Niefern-Öschelbronn, Germany will cover all ecotoxicological (terrestrial and aquatic laboratory studies as well as ecotoxicological field studies) services and chemical (physical chemical properties, residue analysis, environmental fate laboratory studies) services. Potato Blight Event 2011; EAS Ltd, UK

This year’s potato late blight demonstration day, hosted by EAS Ltd was held at Barrow on Trent in the UK on 9th September.  After a low potato blight risk this season, the levels of infection were just right for the event.  This year, we were pleased to welcome Syngenta Crop Protection, BASF, Gowan Company, Belchim Crop Protection, Bayer CropScience and Certis Europe, who demonstrated approximately 150 different treatments and programs to a wide range of industry specialists and growers.  This year, in addition to potato blight demonstrations, there were also demonstrations on early blight control, early weed control and potato desiccation programs.  Attendance at this year’s event was very high, with all the companies who demonstrated at the event having a very successful day.

Finally, we would like to congratulate Ian Pennock who won this year’s Champagne prize draw – a bottle is on its way to you!
