NC State bee inspectors exhibition at CGRF
Thursday, October 29, 2015
Last month, our ecotoxicology team in the USA hosted the NC State bee inspectors exhibition at Cedar Grove, NC. The event was attended by seven NC state bee inspectors, and several client companies for a bee-day and workshop, with facility tours and demonstrations.
The bee day started at our lab in Prospect Hill. It kicked off with a tour of Tier I honey be lab studies including acute and chronic adult studies and larval studies.
At the Cedar Grove facility, we demonstrated Tier II studies, including pollinator exposure, brood and feeding studies. After the tour, Sponsors presented EPA requirements for risk assessment and discussed the rationale behind 3 Tier studies. Sponsors, inspectors, and EAS staff commented about how much they learned at the event.
