Registration of Biopesticides: challenges and opportunities
On 13 December UNEP, FAO, and the Rotterdam Convention held a webinar on the abovementioned topic. Experts from #European Commission, #CTGB, #OECD and #IBMA provided an overview on the main information requirements for the registration of biopesticides, including challenges and opportunities to ensure that adequate regulatory systems are put in place. The presentations are available in the public domain.
CTGB: Evaluation Manual Biopesticides – New Release (December 2021)
The Dutch authorities published a new version (v1.3) of their guidance document to support the approval procedure for microbial, botanical, and semiochemical active substances, and for zonal and interzonal applications for the authorisation of biopesticidal products in the EU. The revision reflects recent regulatory updates for microbials, in particular the EU guidance on risk assessment of microbial metabolites and antimicrobial resistance.
