Tuesday, April 30, 2019
On February 1, 2019, Annelies Mosch joined Eurofins Agro as Senior Account Manager Horticulture. Annelies was born and raised in the Dutch Seed Valley and worked at MeteoGroup for 18 years.
Annelies: "Let me introduce myself. My name is Annelies Mosch and I am senior account manager horticulture at Eurofins Agro Wageningen. After an instructive two-month training period, I now feel completely at home in the horticultural sector. Before that, I spent eighteen years working at MeteoGroup, where I sold weather data for climate control systems in greenhouses, the energy sector and various media companies (radio, newspaper, television, internet).
I was born and raised in Warmenhuizen, in the heart of the Seed Valley in Noord-Holland. At 18, I moved to Amsterdam to obtain a degree in European Studies. My parents used to run an open-field horticultural business in Warmenhuizen, and after that my father started working for seed breeder Nickerson-Zwaan, now known as Hazera.
A wonderful sector
Greenhouse horticulture appeals to me because this sector works hard every day to produce vegetables, flowers and plants as efficiently as possible. With as little water as possible, sophisticated fertilizers and the best possible use of light and temperature. Our soil, water and crop analyses contribute to the targeted control of crops (flowers, pot plants or greenhouse vegetables). What I love about this profession is being able to offer growers added value.
Together with my colleagues, we are here to provide our customers with the best possible service. Please feel free to contact me, I’ll be happy to tell you about our analyses."
