Eurofins launches its newly designed GS mark
01 July 2010
Eurofins has today launched its new GS Mark with an appealing design to enhance visibility and clarity. The new design simplifies the printing of the GS Mark on product rating plates, type labels and packaging. It can be easily integrated in moldings and design tools.
The GS Mark - Geprüfte Sicherheit, German for “Approved Safety” – is one of the most recognized safety marks in the European market. It is a compact indicator for users and customers that a product fulfills the requirements of safety standards and has been thoroughly tested by an independent institute. Customers are reassured that they have bought a safe product when they see the GS-Mark on the product and its packaging.
All holders of Eurofins GS certificates issued after the 1st July 2010 will be entitled to use the new mark. Previously issued certificates will remain valid and license holders can still use the old GS mark on their products.
The GS mark is the most eye-catching symbol to show that a product complies with the German Equipment and Product Safety Act (GPSG). The approved level of safety as well as the quality and functional features of products, bearing the worldwide recognized GS certification mark, brings an advantageous position versus the competition.
Product certification improves product quality, reduces risks from product liability and increases the value of products for both manufacturers and users.
Templates for the Eurofins GS mark are available in various formats (4C-PPS,
Auto-CAD, CATIA etc.) for printing and molding design.
