Background and local capabilities in Spain
Our first location in Spain opened in 1996 offering field trials out of Seville. After that, the company grew quickly due to demand and opened another facility in Canals, Valencia and finally, Zaragoza. All the sites possess the appropriate GLP accreditation 10/3/BPL03 and official recognition EOR/33/98 for the conduct of efficacy trials. From all of these three locations, we enjoy easy and quick access to most of the crops that can be found in Spain. For example, from Seville, we can cover East and West of the Andalucía region where we have access to a wide range of crops including, amongst others, maize, vegetable crops; both protected and field, citrus, olives, vines, peaches, tomatoes, cotton, sugar beet and rice. Also, from this site we can cover the South of Portugal (including crops such as cereals, vines citrus and olive orchards). From Canals (Valencia) we have access to the regions of Castilla La Mancha (cereals, vines, sunflower) and Murcia (vegetable crops; both field and protected, table grapes, peach etc) Finally from Zaragoza, we can test in crops such as apples, peaches, plums & maize. The North of Spain (Galicia and Castilla Leon) is covered by the field site located in Monçao (North of Portugal) and from there we can get access to vines, maize and apples between others. We at EAS Iberica have an extensive and broad experience in field efficacy and GLP testing being able to develop trials in many disciplines including acaricides, biopesticides, ecotoxicology, fertilizers, fungicides, BioTech, herbicides, insecticides, nematicides, molluscicides, PGRs (Plant Growth Regulators), selectivity / crop safety and postharvest studies. We count also with an experienced staff in all the field sites being in total 31 permanent employees at EAS Iberica. In Seville, where it is located the Headquarters, there are 12 permanent employees including local QA, in Zaragoza we are 9 permanent employees and 10 permanent staff in Canals (Valencia). All these resources are complemented in the summer time with temporary personnel.

Nuestra primera base de campo abrió sus puertas en 1996, en Sevilla, ofreciendo ensayos de campo. A continuación la Empresa creció rápidamente y abrió otras bases en Canals (Valencia) y Zaragoza. Todas las bases disponen del Certificado BLP 10/3/BPL03 y están oficialmente reconocidas (EOR/33/98) para el desarrollo de ensayos de eficacia. Desde cualquiera de nuestras bases, disfrutamos de un fácil acceso a la mayoría de los cultivos que podemos encontrar en España. Por ejemplo, desde Sevilla, podemos cubrir fácilmente el este y Oeste de Andalucía donde tenemos acceso a un amplio rango de cultivos incluyendo entre otros, maíz, hortícolas (de campo e invernadero), cítricos, olivo, viña, melocotonero, tomate, algodón, remolacha y arroz. También desde la base de Sevilla podemos cubrir el Sur de Portugal (incluyendo cultivos como cereales, viña, olivo y cítricos). Desde la base de Canals (Valencia), tenemos acceso a las regiones de Castilla La Mancha (cereales, viña y girasol) y Murcia (hortícolas; de campo e invernadero, uva de mesa, melocotonero, etc). Finalmente, desde Zaragoza, podemos hacer ensayos en cultivos como manzano, peral, melocotonero, ciruelo y maíz. El Norte de España (Galicia y Castilla-Leon) está cubierto con nuestra base de Monçao (Norte de Portugal) y desde allí tenemos acceso a viña, maíz y manzano entre otros cultivos. En EAS Ibérica, tenemos una extensa y amplia experiencia en ensayos de eficacia y BPL pudiendo desarrollar ensayos en las siguientes disciplinas: Acaricidas, Biopesticidas, Ecotoxicología, Fertilizantes, Fungicidas, GMO, Herbicidas, Insecticidas, Nematicidas, Molusquicidas, Reguladores de Plantas, Selectividad, Post-cosecha. En EAS Ibérica contamos con personal experimentado en todas las bases de campo, siendo el total de la plantilla de 31 profesionales a tiempo completo. En Sevilla, donde está localizada la oficina central de EAS, hay un total de 12 personas, incluyendo la Unidad de Garantía de Calidad. En Zaragoza disponemos de 9 personas a tiempo completo y de 10 en la base de Canals (Valencia). Todos estos recursos se complementan en verano con la llegada de personal temporal. |
