Physical Chemistry
We have the space, equipment, installations and devices required to fulfil all physical chemistry study requirements
GLP accredited since 1995, our work Profile includes:
Active substances and chemicals from basic properties (e.g. melting point, vapour pressure) to studies relevant for persistence in the environment (e.g. hydrolysis, water solubility etc)
Products – Plant Protection & Biocides from transport and user risk studies (e.g. flash point, explodability etc) through to shelf life studies

Our services on Plant Protection Products include:
General Risk Assessment
- Explodability
- Oxidizing properties (solids)
- Flammability (solids)
- Auto-ignition temperatures of solids
- UN-Bowes-Cameron-Cage test
Physico-chemical studies of the formulation (WDG*) to be performed once:
- Development and validation of an analytical method for the determination of the content of active ingredient in the formulation
- Tap density
- Flowability after heat test under pressure
Physico-chemical studies of the formulation (WDG*) to be performed also in shelf life specification before and after storage:
- Appearance (colour and odour) includes a statement of packing stability, content of a.i.

- Content of a.i.
- pH
- Acidity, alkalinity
- Wettability
- Persistent foam
- Dispersibility of WG
- Suspensibility
- Wet sieve test
- Dry sieve analysis
- Dustiness
- Friability and attrition characteristics
*The examples listed here for physical-chemical tests are those performed with one single formulation type (WDG). In reality we can perform many more physical-chemical tests - please contact our specialist for further information
Shelf Life Specification:
- 2 year shelf life specification at ambient temperature
- Accelerated storage stability for 2 weeks at 54°C or other temperatures
