28 February 2015

The new glasshouse at Wilson was completed at the end of 2014 and replaces the previous facility.  With a modern design it offers more useable space than the previous design as well as four independently controlled climatic zones.  The lighting, irrigation and temperature of each zone are controlled by a new computerised system and can be set to your specific trial requirements.

In conjunction with our growth rooms we are able to offer the following services:

  • Fungicide, herbicide and insecticide studies
  • Growth regulator studies
  • Germination testing
  • Baseline resistance testing
  • Rainfastness studies

Do you require laboratory analysis to complement your trial data?

We perform enzyme linked immunoassay (ELISA) and PCR (detection of DNA) testing.  We can confirm the presence of plant pathogens in crop material, for example confirmation of an infecting virus.  Please enquire and if the pathogen of interest is not currently offered we can develop a suitable test.  Furthermore, we are able to perform transgenic protein expression analysis to GLP to support the seed biotechnology industry.
