EAS Hercules (USA) introduces two new study directors!
We are proud to introduce Dr. Jia Sun and Dr. Randa Breikaa, both senior scientists and study directors for metabolism at the EAS Hercules laboratory in California.
Dr. Sun earned his Ph.D. in ecology with a major in phytochemistry from the Chinese Academy of Forestry in China, completed his post-doctorate at the International Centre for Bamboo and Rattan in China, and served as a Senior Natural Product Research Scientist, Senior Spectrum Specialist, and Associate Professor at the Key Laboratory of National Forestry and Grassland Administration in Beijing. Dr. Sun joined the EAS Hercules team in 2022 to support metabolism studies in structure elucidation and mass fragmentation mechanism/NMR, bringing over 10 years of expertise in analytical methods development and metabolite identification.
Dr. Breikaa earned a master’s degree in pharmacology and toxicology from Ain Shams University in Egypt, additionally earning both a master’s and Ph.D. in molecular, cellular and developmental biology from Ohio State University. With experience as a pharmacologist, toxicologist, and molecular biologist, Dr. Breikaa has over 13 years of expertise with molecular biology approaches, cell culture techniques, and statistical analysis. The EAS Hercules team welcomed Dr. Breikaa in 2023 to support metabolism studies with a focus on in-vitro cell culturing and cell toxicity.
