EAS Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of Research For Hire, Inc., located near Porterville in Tulare County, California, effective June 8, 2022.

Recognized as a leading CRO in regulatory field studies, Research For Hire will join a robust network of EAS field research centers and laboratories within the US. John Corkins will continue as the General Manager of Research For Hire, and we welcome him and his team to EAS Group.

This exciting acquisition sees EAS Group gain additional expertise in 14C radiolabelled field studies, and expand coverage and capabilities in a key agricultural region in the USA. The addition of Research for Hire strengthens the field research offerings in both California, and across North America.

Conducting agricultural research since 1983, Research For Hire performs safety and efficacy studies on crop protection products and seed varieties following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), with capabilities in residue studies and 14C radiolabeled field studies. With facilities at two locations, Research For Hire provides office and laboratory space, two greenhouses, and irrigated experimental land totaling 87 acres.

The staff is comprised of 29 employees including biologists, research assistants, and a quality assurance unit. Research For Hire is located in one of the top agricultural producing counties in the US and has capabilities to conduct trials off-site with commercial growers throughout California. Located in a temperate climate that is conducive to growing a variety of crops throughout the year, Research For Hire conducts studies including crops such as cotton, citrus, grapes, peaches, apples, peanuts, soybean, sugar beets, corn, tomatoes, rice, alfalfa, wheat, and more.

Research For Hire joins the EAS network of field research centers located in Cedar Grove, NC; Lafayette, IN; and Sanger, CA. These locations provide a comprehensive suite of field, semi-field and greenhouse studies, including field efficacy, GLP residue, dissipation, pollinator testing and worker exposure studies.
